Can I take a 2wd V6 xterra trans and swap it with my KA 2wd trans after swapping bell housings? Also..is the 04 2wd KA Frontier transmission the same as an 04 2wd KA xterra transmission. Just looking for options while I search for a new transmission. Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted January 26, 2023 Report Share Posted January 26, 2023 I would say yes. They both must be 71C transmissions for the front case to swap. When removing the front case there are select fit shims under the snap ring. Keep these with the transmission that they come off of and only swap the case. I guess the only other thing is the overall length being checked as the same, again I think they are. Quote Link to comment
