521 lower front link bushing and seal help

And yes a clean square cut was tricky... 

Good idea might be to place a dowel in the hose before cutting...

Find a way to spin it and keep your cutoff blade still....

Put a dowel (or pvc pipe) in it, wrap it with masking tape, cut on a miter saw

It's a little late now, but I would have advised you to smear a bit of grease on the surfaces where the seals contact metal, so the boots don't stick and tear when the suspension moves. This is especially important when parts have new paint on them.

 

You could have also deburred the control arm clevis to remove and sharp edges which could cut the seals.
