Socalman
I am looking for the bushings for that part. I have the kingpin kit and the one you sent, but I do not have the rubber bushings for it. I only have the metal sleeve. Quote Link to comment

Isn't what your thinking about more of a seal vs a bushing... 1 Quote Link to comment

OK it's missing from my drawing. I looked at the 620 and it comes up as a dust seal 54503-20500 and a search of it use, shows it was on the 521. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
What about a generic neoprene O ring??? Just has to seal wet and dirt out. Quote Link to comment

Atleast we are all on the same page now.... This is what was thinking too... Mcmaster carr probably has something you could make work... Get some basic measurements where it needs to be and go from there.... Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Looks like you guys have already gotten it cleared up that the rubber pieces are seals, not bushings. The pin is called the fulcrum pin. Unless it's super sloppy or you just want to replace everything, they're not usually bad enough to require replacement. I've done vids before about how the pin and the nuts take a "set" to each other. If you pull them apart, make sure that you put them back exactly the way they were. Same nut on the front, same on the back, pin in the same direction it came out. If not, there's a really good chance you will get binding when the nuts are tighten. It will seem fine until the last bit of tightening is done. You'll have to swap things around until you find the original setup. If you mixed the parts from both sides together while cleaning......have fun. lol The last time we went through this about the seals and cotter bolts, I added some links to my king pin info page. http://www.bluehandsinc.com/king-pin-rebuild-info.html I don't remember if it was talked about when we were trying to figure out the seals, years ago......but that self sealing electrical tape might be a pretty good option. https://www.eis-inc.com/product/electrical-tape-3m70x1?gclid=Cj0KCQiA7bucBhCeARIsAIOwr-8g7DedTgIauTQgX4S4x_QxOgY_B0TDUzixcU4qKs1rDgfhKmCH-WgaAsTjEALw_wcB It wouldn't be pretty, but it just might work. O-rings might, too. The gaps on each side of the dog bone change when the joint pivots. The bearing(bushing) is actually threaded, so the dog bone moves fore and aft as it pivots. It's not much and I know I've shown it in rebuild vids before, but it's enough that it can't be anything solid. If anyone is looking to get a deal on front end parts that have already been gone through.....Kyia is swapping frames and is selling his 521 front end. The king pins have been rebuilt and my aluminum brake kit is already on it. I'm pretty sure he was/is on ratsun, but I'll post his IG contact....since I have it handy. https://www.instagram.com/renaissance_sage/ I have no clue about the condition of the fulcrum pin seals or any other details.....if you have an interest, contact him. I'm msging him to see if he's still here on ratsun. 2 Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
Does anyone have an original seal? Even a used one? A pic and some dimensions may help to search for something other than an o-ring. You can also get square edged o-rings. Maybe that would be better than a standard o-ring. banzai510(hainz)
https://mossmotors.com/pin-fulcrum-lower-link-outer somebody said this fits a 521 SAE new pins https://mossmotors.com/pin-cotter-unf these Seals maybe will work call them or look to see if there is a 100-6 Austin Healey seal for the fulcrum pin side https://mossmotors.com/seal-set-4-pin-seals-8-link-seals but the Austin Healey 100-6 the fulcrum pin is the closest if not a replacement what somebody told me on here awhile ago and should be documented on Ratsun as a replacement and the seals. Maybe Moss knows more. this is all I could fine but didnt reseach it long enough https://mossmotors.com/seal-set-4-pin-seals-8-link-seals Edited December 6, 2022 by banzai510(hainz) 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Moss doesn't know shit. Just a bunch of desk jockeys. But that seal kit looks promising. 1 Quote Link to comment

I was going to suggest that, but cutting a hose nice and square isn't always so easy. 1 Quote Link to comment
