datzenmike Posted October 29, 2022 Report Share Posted October 29, 2022 Not that important as long as they don't bump. If the frame is in good condition it shouldn't. Cab and box mounts should position them properly and there is little wiggle room to be wrong. Post some pictures of your truck. I had a 5 year old '71 back in '76.
