1975 620 Longbed "Shelley"

Finally got some measurements. They are 2.25x3x5" blocks. I am looking at getting some 2 inch blocks to avoid crunching the rear fenders if I want to use the bed for something. Currently had about a half inch between the axle and bump stops.

I keep seeing that you should have angle shims for lowering/raising due to the differential angle. Would it be that much of a difference to go from 3 to 2 inch blocks? I don't have shims at the moment...

Also picked up another Nissan. '03 6 speed. Pretty clean and just over 79k miles. Been a fun car so far.

Finally got the last lugnut. 2 out of the 25 pack I got didn't thread properly so had to buy another set of 10.

I think it looks a bit better on these wheels (sorry Hainz) a little more filled out. No rubbing or anything from what I could see, although this is with a practically empty bed.

Got a set of wheel caps from @EDM620 that I'll eventually add to the back wheels.

I know those are luv-em or hate-em wheels but I think they look great on your 620. Goes good with the white paint too

Looks like 36-spoke turbine wheels. I like how the rays go the way to the center hole. Most turbines have a large flat area surrounding the lug holes, but these look better. American made similar but I think these look closer to the old Permacast turbomag. Perhaps the SEMA sticker number 4918085 is the manufacture code?

Your comment led me to this thread from 2012

- they are almost the same as the Permacast Turbomags.

The only differences being the end corners of the ribs look rounded/filleted on the permacast wheels, where mine seem like a hard corner.

The other difference I just noticed was that the permacast ribs seem to be a smooth curve from the outer lip down to the center bore - the ribs on my wheels are more of a constant angle, with the angle changing once about halfway down.

Thanks for sharing, closest match yet. Would have been cool to say I happened to have a super nice set like the permacast.

Found two other listings on Ebay for similar wheels:

This is close because of the hard edges, and the 2 angles (rather than the smooth continuous curve on the permacast) but the ribs don't go far enough to the center.

These are also close, but the corners are slightly rounded, and there is an extra stepdown/lip where the ribs end going outwards.

Also got some weird oval lug holes.

Those oval lug holes were "multi-fit" and would have originally come with some inserts allowing for different hole patterns.

I like the canopy, has the right profile

Ah cool yeah theyre not very common from what I've seen.

Thanks, it's a Glasstite I believe. Company is out of business now but I'd love to get it restored. New window seals etc.

The profile does remind me of the old school mini trucks, almost gives the illusion of a slight rake.

Haha would love to see yours running. What's left to get it on the road?

Longbed hopefully just paint the drums, put one spring on the brakes, hook up the carb and put doors and lights and grill in

Little miss needs wiring and fuel lines and coolant and fenders and i don't know what else

Both need the hoods installed

Trying to get the longbed driveable so that I can get it out the shop and clear up some space to help with the other vehicles that need work
