Hey everyone I’m new to the forum but I’ve been around Datsuns my whole life I’m sure some people in the Oregon area know my dad. He had two bright green 510s for years. Anyways just wanted to get into the forum world and stay connected. Sorry if this is not how you do it.

Curious about the parts. Does it have the entire frame under it or just the t-case and axles? Are the axles both 5 lug or 6 lug? Does it use the Datsun steering box? Power steering?  How does the t-case shifter fit against the tunnel and seat? I'm assuming bucket seats to clear the t-case shifter.

Those old Jeeps have such character too...I did the early CJ5 and the flat fender stuff for awhile years ago now...

Jeep chassis are built like toys. Super flexy and prone to cracking. The Datsun frame is much more rigid. Hopefully they left the Datsun frame under that truck.

Yep  the Japs boxed the frames. Not C channel

Overlapped and a mid plate at the suspension pickups. 

I always laugh when someone says a 620 has a weak frame. 🙂

I too have a Low Manufacturing 4x4 kit I installed on my 1979 Datsun King cab. Does anyone know what year or model of jeep parts were used for Low kits. I need to replace all the tie rod ball joints but don’t know what information to give at the auto parts store. The newer generation of workers at the stores don’t really know much about vehicles so if you don’t give them a specific make, model and year, they cannot find a part for you. I have all the Low Mfg manuals and parts catalogs but they unfortunately list replacement parts using there own internal part numbers and not the equivalent jeep parts using number.

I believe, for the most part, they were just ordering parts directly from dynatrac and the like and not necessarily using parts from a donor.
That would mean they would be right around the year of the truck manufacture. 

The easiest way to figure out what you have is measuring.
