1978 Datsun 620 turn signal mystery solved

A while back my turn signal had on again off again functionality. I went to YouTube for tips.  The

consensus was to spray contact cleaner into open seams in steering column around turn signal lever to blow out

dust and dirt accumulated over the decades.  I blew out with blower end of a vacuum first

and then used contact cleaner, working the lever up and down.  I still had the same

problem. I took  the truck to my mechanic and it turned out to be a  simple change of a plug in

part under the dash.  He used NAPA Thermal Flasher 552  which replaces 536 or 552 according

to the  package.  Hope this tip will help someone else.
