Thomas Perkins
Hey Ya'll.This is for everyone that has a 32/36 Weber. The big Copper plug that holds your fuel filter in that takes a 3/4 inch wrench. If you screw it in too much,it will twist the fuel filter. You can see that it leaks gas,rub your finger under it.To fix it,just put 2 layers of Teflon tape around the threads. The other 2 fittings, one for the fuel line and the other plug has aluminum washers that keep it from leaking,I bought some extra one's in case I need it.I even bought the big plug, thinking it was bad.And it still leaked, till I used Teflon tape on it.Wonder why Weber doesn't use it.I seen quite a few Weber's and they all were leaking there. They should know metal fittings will leak without washers or Teflon tape, just like your oil plug on your oil pan.Teflon tape is gas resistant.I also use the tape on both of my transmission plugs. 1 Quote Link to comment
