Datslocos is coming up quickly so I was waiting for parts and have been working on the car the last two weeks. Can't wait!!! My good friend Tyler converted some 280zx struts I bought from Eddie into coilovers using the T3 weld on setup I have had since 2015. One thing about this skyline is that I have been sitting on some parts I've had since 2015 and finally putting them to use... Also allowed me to confirm my suspicions that the 280zx strut sucks the wheel inboard vs the Hako just like it does to a 510. SupDoc Posted May 7, 2022 Report Share Posted May 7, 2022 I just installed that same T3 LCA in my 510. I'm not going super-low, like you, so I didn't have to use an extra bump steer spacer. five1oh Posted May 9, 2022 Author Report Share Posted May 9, 2022 Interior time 🙂 The carpet was torn up and some worn skyline (not sure which year) mats were sitting on top of the front carpet. I had a bunch to do including refreshing center console and installing a bluetooth amp so I removed the seats and got to work. Once seats were removed I did a thorough vacuum and wiped dust/dirt of with a rag. The KARO red/black floor mats were ordered in 2015 for my 2 door skyline. You may remember I "borrowed" them for the cactus green 510 and now since I have decided to go with safari gold instead of white on the 2 door I think the red will look best in this car. My 2 door had rusted through front floors as well as the box that goes under the front floor board. This car doesn't show rust on the box under the car and I am very happy with how solid the floors look. Yes there is some rust but I don't believe it goes through, appears to just be on the surface. I am done with the interior for a while now. Only things I may do in future is replace the cracked dash and possibly recover the seats but no plans right now. It doesn't bother me too much.
