Green machine cant seem to give these things away

Hello everyone, decided to indulge on a new project. More times then not, I need to work or promote work on something different. I get spun out and frustration builds when i just work on one.  

Sun has been out for weeks here and seems like a great idea. Been trying to sell this 4 door 510 that runs great and fun as fuck to drive but, people cant see past the not so pretty look.

Got a pile of doors that were offered with the sell along with a good front clip.

 

 

Now as of today, old time Datsun friend calls up, i need some cash. Cool come out to Datsunville and give this thing a facelift.....

 

 

 

 

 

Crappy shaved rear door handles gone, complete door actually

Pass front door has rot in the lower sheet metal. so off with that one too

If you want some different type of work, I got a 620 that needs little work and at least primed for paint. Maybe even paint???.  lol

I stopped painting cars for other people. Funny lost Datsun friends over $4000 paint jobs that were not concourse. However those paint jobs were beyond what I spend 10k on now with paying other to paint my Datsuns.

My goal is to take a pile and give it potential.

These are exactly the cars I go for. No need to worry about "ruining" them when I modify it. You don't need to treat it like it's precious. You just take it and make it yours. I like your style Mr. Johnson 😉

Same here.  I've painted parts for people, and actually ended up losing money doing someone a favor.  People DO NOT understand that a nice paint job is mostly prep and finish work after the paint is sprayed...

Almost there

 

 

Got rid of hood pins, installed a complete hood latch and working cable. Also installed better bezels, grill with Sport emblem. All door panels installed. but no carpet or headliner.

 

 

 

AND NO.... didn't fix this area of rust. (that's 98% of the rust on the entire car) Seems all 510s that we work on can be taken to perfect levels of excellence. However we need to stay in budget. Not every 510 should sell for 25k and up. 

 

 

We did find a happy new home, With a bunch of parts to make this little ride even sweeter, she's off to her new life.

Hood pins are like piercings to me... gross.  Sun roofs, spoilers or wings too.
