JacobBieg
Does anyone know of any intake or exhaust manifolds that can be put on a A14 non California cat engine without too much hassle. I'm looking to reduce the resistance in the system so I can squeeze out an extra hp or two Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
There was a dual SU option for the A series GX head. It had oval intake ports. If you have round ports, it can still be made to work. I made my own intake out of a stock A series manifold plus a 240z Weber DGV adapter. I machined the plenum almost all the way out of the stock intake and then machined the DGV adapter to fit the void. Then TIG welded it all together. It doubled the size of the plenum and had the Weber bolt pattern, so no adapter was required. Quote Link to comment
JacobBieg
That's an impressive feat of manufacturing but I take it that's the only way and that's there's no prebuilt ones that'll work? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
There has to be a side draft intake for the A.... http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawiki/index.php?title=LHD_Sidedrafts http://datsun1200.com/uploads/photos/3464.jpg Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
There are dual side draft intakes available, but to get even dual 40s to work on an A motor, there's so much work involved. I don't have any pics of my custom DGV intake, but it only took an afternoon plus a mill and a TIG welder. Quote Link to comment
