Andrew1971 Posted December 1, 2021 Report Share Posted December 1, 2021 I am opting to buy a 1982 Toyota SR5 4X4.It is a largely rust free truck that had 1 owner.It was garage kept and old geezer owned.Well maintained and had issues taken care of.Frame is solid as well as the body.Does have some light surface rust but overall a perfect survivor especially for Calgary Alberta.Interior is pretty nice and untouched except for an after market stereo.I plan on giving it to a good autobody shop to redo the paint per new and go over the frame and undercoat it with pore 15.Engine is solid and a good runner.It has a few extras installed as well such as a front end tubular wrap around bush bar as well as a winches on both the front and the back that are functional. All told I figure between the purchase price and the body shop bill it will cost me $10,000 Canadian which gives me a HUGE upside potential in US currency should I choose to sell it. I really wanted to get a Bullet Side to turn into a low rider but I just could not get one so the Toyota 4X4 it is. Quote Link to comment
