620Dat
I have a 1972 datsun 620 with an L16 engine that doesn’t want to stay on when it’s cold. I have to press the gas pedal for couple of minutes until it warm up that’s when it stays on. I’ve replaced the original carburetor with a Weber carburetor with electric choke. also replace the point with a pertronix electronic ignition. If you guys have any ideas what could it be. I would appreciate it. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Choke is likely not adjusted on, or rich enough. Quote Link to comment

For some some reason I thought they came already adjusted. I’ll take a look at it later today. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The Z24 in the '83 720, also probably the last Nissan carbureted vehicle, has the choke set at the factory and the 3 screws are replaced by rivets so the owner can't tamper with it. I drilled mine out and used self tapping screws. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I know more about the stock carburetor than the Weber. Quote Link to comment
