I started noticing a difference in my acceleration when I starting shifting between 3,500-4,000 RPM instead of 2,000-3,000 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted October 3, 2021 Report Share Posted October 3, 2021 If you are in a hurry or merging up to 4k will work. The Z series heads don't breath very well and high revving is limited to around 4K. Sometimes it's run out of steam about then and an up shift hits the max torque in the next gear. But to be fair it was designed for highway speed, low rev, high torque, low emissions. It's very good at that. 2 Quote Link to comment
