Points condenser

I was on Datsun garage.com they have a points condenser listed but according to them it’s only for 72-73 620’s my question is will it work in my 77 620?

The L16/18 and L20B use different part numbers but a condenser is just a 12v capacitor to reduce arcing of the points when they break contact. Try it if you can't get the correct one.

look on rockauto for a photo.  early L16 condensors are outside. later ones are inside the distributor

Try NAPA # ECH CS351 Points. ECH EP344 Condenser.

I like Pertronix but you have to have the correct distributor for this to work

the Later L20s are single point but the magnet ring in the kit does not fit over the ring boss on the dist shaft. it must be machined down for the Magnet ringfrom the Pertronix kit to fit on to the point lobes

 

if you have a photo I can tell if iy will not or not
