Bed Mount Hardware

Hey folks! I recently picked up a 1985 720 base model with 130k miles. It runs great but has been a bit neglected. My first endeavor is to patch up some rust holes in the cab and took the bed off to more easily reach the back of of the cab. I'm fairly certain this is the first time the bed has ever been removed and I only managed to get 1 of the 8 mounting bolts off without the bolt snapping immediately so I'm looking into replacing the hardware. Any issues with replacing the bolts/nuts/washers with standard galvanized parts from a hardware store? Also, any idea what this rubber washer/spacer/bushing looked like originally? Thanks!

I had the same question a little while back while tackling the same issue. I wasn’t able to find a source for an original comparison(unless I didn’t look hard enough). But I was told that a good double is sidewall tire rubber if you have any old spares laying around. Maybe double them up to make a beautiful rubber sand which.
