Greg Stewart
I cannot remove the brake cylinders on my 1974 and 1975 620s, without either a sledgehammer, or my DIY puller/press. I was wondering, were they glued in? As a "safety" supplemental to only being held by one bolt? (really DATSUN; one bolt? for a wheel cylinder?) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Only needs one bolt as there is a larger round boss on the cylinder that sticks through the backing plate for the bleeder/brake line. The aluminum is likely corroded and it's difficult to pull it back through that hole. Quote Link to comment
Illuminance
Just removed mine. They were in there pretty tight. Nothing some smacks with a hammer couldn't fix. 😄 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
In Canada the hammer is known as the Newfie screwdriver. Quote Link to comment
