86 720 bucket seat replacements

Hi All,

My 720 seats have seen better days.  I vaguely remember discussions in the past of other bucket seats that bolt right into the cab of a 720. Anyone remember anything about this?  Isuzu Rodeo and/or Honda Passport seem to come to mind.

Thanks for your time

Z32 work with mild modification.  That's what I'm running currently in my 720.

2002 maxima's in mine. Driver is power in like 6 different direction. I had to drill new holes in back and weld a small tab on the front but the main measurement your are looking for is seat height. Most seats sit to high and you will be rubbing your head and your leg gets tight between the steering wheel. I grabbed the seatbelts while I was at it and only had to slightly modify them so now I have nice functioning belts.

Also looks like a good portion of an '02 Maxima center console....

Hey Lance,

is this for a king cab or a standard cab?

I had a set of buckets from a Mazda 323 that fit the factory bolt holes. This was in a 81 standard cab, so there was no reclining at all. High back bucket would rest on back glass.
Could you post a picture of your door opener mods?

Yep. I had to hack the front off because of transfer case lever. The armrest has 2 settings and a drink holder in the back. Living in high cotton these says.

Recognized it because I have an "02 Maxima. Love the 2 setting  armrest.

Car just turned 200K over the weekend.

Mazda 323 huh?  Bolted right in huh?  Thanks for that input.

Pick n Pull had seats for $15 last week.  Snagged some Rodeos. But, they werent the right year. They mounts in the back don't reach the holes and mounts are uneven so the seat sits at an angle. I'll have to return these and hopefully exchange them for something else that will fit.

I don't see 323s on the lot.

Isuzu Trooper seats I believe bolt in.  I have a set that I will try this weekend and report back.

Any luck on the Trooper?  My local picknpull has a '97 right now.  No idea on condition of seats of course, but if all the holes lines up, let me know, thanks.
