raisehellpraisedale3 Posted November 29, 2020 Report Share Posted November 29, 2020 Yup, my head gasket took a shit the other day and i’m trying to find what brand/part number would fit the motor, what is the torque specs and pattern for torquing down the head bolts, and do i need to use sealer? and is there anything else that i should know before i replace it? thanks i appreciate the help 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno Posted December 1, 2020 Report Share Posted December 1, 2020 You need to buy a Nissan gasket set if possible, the head and intake gaskets are layered metal and there are o-rings involved, if you cannot find the info you need PM me and I will go thru it the best I can from my "model SD series diesel engine manual, it has everything including what to torque the head bolts to at every step and the order they are tightened. When you remove your head you need to see where the o-rings go, take photos, also look between the intake and exhaust valve seats for cracks in the head. Quote Link to comment
