The Rats Garage
Sorry I haven't got pics up but I've been busy working on my dash IM looking to diesel swap and throw in a 5 speed trans does anyone have any ideas of engine and trans I can use Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Sd25 and trans would be closest to fitting since they are 720 drivetrain. OM series Mercedes are small great motors but expect a 4 speed manual or hand built bell housing. I was looking at an om617 for a while as a swap option. Tdi with Toyota trans is compact and common in 4x4 world. 4bt is the 4 cylinder version of the dodge Cummins 12 valve. Massively expensive though. Cummins also came out with some sweet swap designed crate motors a couple years back if you just have cash to burn. Quote Link to comment
