Is there hope?

I'm by far no expert on Datsun's, however, there are a lot of knowledgeable people and enthusiasts that have profound experience in dealing with any questions put are forward to them here. So, with no further ado I'd like to propose an open ended question on this matter...

One 1980 Datsun, type HS130, L28et engine, T-roof, has been sitting for quite a while, doesn't run, rust in usual places and for sale.

Q: Any idea of the worth?

Scrap. They rust badly, wiring can also be a problem. If it was running well it wouldn't be there, so somethings wrong with it, even just worn out. It's also an automatic, all '80 were.

Parts?

The front struts complete with the disc brakes are sought out for 510, 610, 710, B210, A10, S10 and S110 cars and more for a nice suspension and brake up grade.

The factory 15" aluminum mag option rims are nice.

The '80  turbo came with an R200 3.545 ratio open differential

The turbo head bolts are collectable.

The oil pump is of the high volume style.

The turbo automatics all came with an oil cooler adapter that fits on the block.

It's going to be 40 year old technology turbo, used and worn. Cheaper to buy them on e-bay.

Again the struts are worth having but only if you can use them. Shipping will raise the cost or leave you will little incentive to sell/ship them. I know, it's a shame but we can't save them all. Even if free it's too expensive.

If a 1980, it is NA, not turbo........at least here in the States!  The intake layout looks like a typical NA, not turbo.  The vin tag states 132hp, which is also NA, not turbo.

We buy ZX parts cars, usually pay $350-650 max, when in rough shape, not running etc.  Parting one out has never netted a good return.  We keep the L28, manual trans, rear diff, wheels & front strut assemblies, then sell other parts cheap for a few weeks, then scrap the rest.
