Oof, that's no fun. Going to try to find someone cutting up a parts-car for the bits or just make them?

I gotta fix the outer bottom layer of that section on my Z but that's as far as the rust goes I think (hope).

Making some progress, the old section of drip rail I cut off.

patched up the roof skin but forgot to take a picture... also shaved the old antenna hole

I dont have a TIG but the neighbor does, so got the IC pipe welded up as one piece instead of the like 4 pieces and 3 couplers lol 

and relocated the BOV

Not gonna lie, this car is making me want to fast-track my plans to eventually turbo my 260z. My knowledge of ecu stuff/MS is basically zero, so will be eagerly watching (and hopefully learning) when you rewire things for it.

Once you run a boosted L motor youl never want to go back lol.

An N/A L sounds amazing, but having that turbo power is just so fun to drive.

 

I'll be making a video of my megasquirt stuff if it ever shows up lol including install and tuning for reference.

 

Iv run a lot of motors over the years from triple webber L24s to 2JZ-GTEs but I have a love for the L28ET.

Boost is a beautiful thing. Makes a gutless motor so much nicer to drive. Not even just the top end power, but the "area under the curve". 😉
