720.rdy
I have a 1984 nissan 720 with a basic cluster, I recently bought a cluster with a clock and a tach but the issue is that I don't have the 2.2 ohm resistor to make the tach functional. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Any electronics store 2,200 ohms is all you need. I took one apart once. Any '80s Nissan that has a tack in it will have one in the engine harness, though it's exact location is hard to find. The 720 resistor should be on the harness even if you don't have a tach option. It's cheaper to have the resister on all harnesses that to have multiple harnesses for those with and without these options. It will be taped up in a small lump somewhere near the battery although I seem to remember one being near the left headlights... maybe an early model? Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Should be toward the front of the drivers fender well near all of the ignition coil wiring. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Maybe wrapped up in the harness with electrical tape. Look for a lump. Quote Link to comment
