Fuel pump block off plate

I'm just about to start the resto of my 510 and one of the things planned is moving battery and fule pump to rear of the car. I want a fule pump block off plate but the only one I can find to buy is the one at California Datsun (link below).

I've heard various reports about them from the UK so just wondered if you guys had an opinion and if you'd recommend the product or can point me in the direction of a good supplier of similar.

In the scheme of things it's not a lot of money to buy one, but I do like to buy once and buy right if I am buying at all 🙂

Thanks,

JK

He cant screw that up... I'd buy it.... theres some others fuel block off plates out there.... I have one with datsun engraved on it....

I think California datsuns problem is more about his  knowledge and the engines and heads he sells....

I bought a head from him before I ever heard stories.... while his recommendation was wrong the head was fine.... ( wrong compression for an L16, but I worked around that with different pistons...)

It's the next gen or series after the L series that was used through the '70s. 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4 liters but a different low pollution head. Much of the parts interchange. Many Z20 and Z22 use an electric fuel pump and the old location is blocked off on the head.

Not to pimp my services but I’m about to make a set for my l20 head of the timing cover and pump block off on my CNC mill.  I have to cad them up but If you didn’t mind being a guinea pig we could work something out.  As for what he has I have no idea what country they were made in but dthey look right though if those cap screw are stainless I would opt for something else than risk a stuck bolt as not all stainless plays nice with aluminum.  Wont look as nice but what’s the point of beauty if it snaps off inside.
