Does your coil get warm? Or do you have a current tester to make sure you've got a current coming in and out of the coil?

I just rewired my 320 and my advice is keep a current tester nearby to see where current starts and stops. Keep an eye on your fuses 'cause I was burning them out right and left getting everything right. On your dizzy make sure the insulator where the lead comes in is good and it's not grounding out on the dizzy body. Same goes with the stuff inside--make sure nothing is accidentally touching the body and grounding.

You'll get it.

those headers must be off of something newer

the stock header connects all ports in to 1

Yes it is from an early MGB It was hoped to be paired with the cannon intake and ever DCOE 40 after I eventually rebuild the engine.

I converted to a MG distributor and MG starter. They both look stock but perform better. For the distributor I'm using a rebuilt 1960s Lucas 25D and it drops right in, no mods needed, same hold down clamp and everything. They also make a Lucas 25D electronic dizzy if you want to go that route.

What MG starter did you use?

So I broke down and ordered a new electronic distributor with new coil for the MG’s. It does not have the lock down plate. What mods have you guys had to do to get the new distributor and the old plate to work together?
