RallyDatsun
I have a 1981 310 gx FWD with a 5 speed manual. I would like to swap in a sr20de with its manual transmission. From looking at other swaps, it appears to be fairly easy once the harness is stripped down. Am I missing some big expense? I doubt my axle shafts will fit the new transmission and Im fairly certain it would require new mounts welded in. I would not need stand alone software or anything correct? Thanks in advance. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I think mounting may be an issue, but I am not familiar enough with the wrong wheel drive stuff. Should be the same to wire up as any other SR though. Quote Link to comment
Bleach
You might be able to keep the axels and hubs from a donor car. Then just do your custom work at the top of the front struts to get it all attached. The early 90's 200SX is FWD and used an SR20DE in the USA (in some models) 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
That would be a fun swap. How about converting it to rear wheel drive? Quote Link to comment
