Major stock market meltdowns over Trumps trade wars. Now he's backing off with 30 day delay for Canada and Mexico. Who do you think pays this tax???? It's not Canadians or Mexicans it's the US importers that pay. The price increase is passed on to US consumers, they then stop buying and importers are reluctant to import more.  Canadians can't sell their goods, the American public sees prices go up or goods unavailable and the tax goes in the government's pocket.

Trump is a dangerous idiot. Now he even looks like an idiot.

Hey, I get some tariffs to protect domestic production/jobs. You make widgets but the public can import Canadian widgets for half the price. To protect your producer you tariff Canadian widgets 50% more to make yours competitive.

My wife bought all Canadian products when shopping today. Small, but Canada wide how is this good for US producers who just want to sell their stuff????

That's funny, stock markets are up today. Markets always fluctuate to any fart in politics. Canada and Mexico flinched, the market went up a bit. It always happens.

You want to talk about idiot leaders, your little man bitch Tru DOH! fired back before he even knew the only Canadian pipeline to the Canadian east coast passes through America. Brilliant.

I dont think it'll be long before I can LOL and say trumps your president! Your country only has US to trade with realistically and your country's population is old and aging out. We give you millions and millions a year already in basically welfare. Our largest recipient frankly. You should actually be appreciative this president thinks it's a good idea we rescue your declining civilization and the drawbacks that come along with it. Not making that offer to these guys ---> Japan china Italy Russia Germany UK and more   all on the back side of their peaks and fading away and here we have a president talking about a new golden era in the USA. I think you got My guy all wrong, he's no idiot, he's got everyone on the ropes and all I hears is crying from people who worship the leaders who would have the USA on a similar path as those nations I named.  BTW there's no trade war there's just pay your import tax or just simply gfys.  Canada doesn't even have anything we can't live without of produce ourselves or get pretty much ANYWHERE else.

It went back up primarily because he deferred it for 30 days. Trade wars are no good for anyone. The public wants affordable goods. Tariffs are a tax on the consumer.

He deferred because he's getting what he wanted, there's more to this than Trump being a bully.

This is an example of problems hidden to us regular folks

"While the U.S. has been working to restrict trade and investment with China, Canada and Mexico have not taken similar measures. For instance, Mexico does not have an inbound investment screening regime and Canadian and Mexican tariffs on Chinese imports are in many cases significantly lower than U.S. tariffs. "

Chinese products can bypass American tariffs by being imported to Canada or Mexico then included into products that are then sent to America.

Here is another perspective that I think is accurate about the tariffs from Scott Jennings on CNN

In addition it seems to me that part of Canada's problem is that Trudeau resigned right? and the parliament is in recess?

Who is running Canada? the same people that were running America for Sleepy Joe the corpse? or is Trudeau really a dictator since there has been no election to replace him?

What about Mexico, no one resigned there. Turdo is like Joe after Trump won, he was president but no one cared, things kept moving along.

La presidenta bent the knee first. I went and read a little about her, definitely would not want her to be my president, a woke socialist.

might be a bit of hyperbole, but theyre referring to Unix based systems. And it doesnt take much to hack someones account. The CIA director was hacked by teenagers. I dont agree with Jarvis but forsure you can do a lot of damage with just a handful of people and some knowhow. Look what was done to MGM and Caesars palace last year (i realize theyre not government agencies but still).

You would think that they would have the best hackers working for them. Maybe they allow hacking to spread disinformation to China. I would.

Not really, most prominent hackers hate the government and therefore wont work with government agencies unless they get caught and their only option is to work for them or go to jail. (think leonardo dicaprio in Catch Me If You Can). Groups like Anonymous are super anti government. but yeah, Hackers would definitely be able to at least throw a wrench into something, cause some havoc for a few days before the gov gets things sorted out again.

Good ! The money that gets wasted is beyond belief. I didn't even know we had a USAID sector of government. That's how well they kept it from being very public. Shut that shit down until money spent can be accounted for and spent wisely. I read about some of the things it was spent on. Any politicians supporting some of that stupid shit should be hung or face a firing squad. This country does not have the money to spend for that crap.

Old military airmen fully understand the meaning of the immortal phrase:

'If you're taking flak, you're over the target'

Bombs away kiddies !!!

If you've watched the news that you should have been watching the past couple days, you've seen some of the sleazy swamp-creatures that this is going to affect immensely crowing their slimy little heads off in the DC swamp.

Watch out what you cut off Donald. Remember what I said about Stalin purging all his military experts and generals. When WW 2 happened the USSR was severely restricted in it's ability to fight back effectively.

That said, I also said: the main aim, the only reason for bureaucracy to be, it's only excuse for existence is to perpetuate itself.
