I was in elementary school when Carter ran for re-election in 1980. EVERYONE knew he was gonna landslide into a 2nd term. Brother, women were flat bawling when Reagan beat him. If you've never seen the footage of Reagan getting sworn in looking like the movie star he was you should, especially when he tells the crowd the hostages had just left Iranian air space. That, for me, is the day the 1980s truly began. Carter was a decent man (even with last in his heart) but Reagan was bigger and bolder than real life on day one. Nevermind he walked into the hospital after getting shot and then told the doctors and nurses, "I hope you're all Republicans!".

And yet he chose Brady as his press secretary, who went on to be the biggest xenoliberal by burning the second amendment whenever he could because "zomg I became paralyzed!" Yeah go fuck yourself Brady, I would lay a pipe bomb at your grave if I was able to get away with it.

Jews do not thrive in a religiously plural society because they believe theologically that they are better than everyone else. The Torah literally says that the life of a non-jew is worth considerably less. Do all of them actively practice that? Probably not but it is a risk to social cohesion. There are times where I do think the Roman Empire was not out of line with their destruction of Jerusalem

 

Every time I get lectured by a Jew about my religion being somehow not "progressive" enough or "wrong" or they are the correct chosen people, it kinda pisses me off and makes me feel as if they truly, truly think they're better than everyone else.

Don't forget the fact that Muslims generally speaking are Holocaust deniers and that's because they were complicit with the actions of the third Reich. Look up the grand mufti of Jerusalem. He was the main reason why Hitler and his crew decided to kill the Jews instead of exiling them. He basically said that even if you kick them off to somewhere far away they would eventually end up returning to my land and becoming my problem. The dude was a prototypical Nazi in all but name.

100% not a surprise. Reagan always said, "I didn't leave the democrat party, it left me". He wasn't kidding. He was as liberal in 1985 as he was in 1955 but the Republicans had moved sufficiently to the left that he not only felt comfortable there but dominated the party and has since become the ideal "conservative" in boomer eyes.

Hey at least you freaking get it now. That's where I come from. People ask me all the time if I'm some sort of crazy socialist but it's just much more nuanced than that. 

 

I am a true traditional conservative in the Eastern sense. I believe that societies have a right to preserve their cultural values and ideals and to decide who gets to stay there or not. I also believe by that token that progressivism is misguided and encourages end justifies the means thinking. 

 

But as a result of my conservatism I will denounce anyone and everyone that violates my principles. I am a political idealist in the strongest sense. If you want to understand what I am it's basically a mixture of Li Guang Yao (first president of Singapore), Catholic social doctrine, combined with a bit of good old-fashioned American revolutionaryism.

Don't be a fucking dick. I never said it was insignificant did it????? Those are your words. I said being attacked without warning, killing women and children since they became their own country in 1948 was not unique. And it isn't.

Between 1948 and 1998 over 20,000 Israeli soldiers killed in combat.

Not being a dick at all, so thanks for the name calling.  You said it was "not unique".  I think if 3500 have been killed over almost 80 years, and now an incident with one-third that many occurs, that is significant.  You didn't use exactly that word, but you did downplay it.  I stand by my assessment.

If you want to talk numbers then 1,200 is a lot, and at one event but the method (attack without warning) and circumstances (men, women, children and hostaghes) were the same as the last 78? years of killing.

Just a couple of small examples are the enlarged pic of the back of the Ford Pickup with bullet holes in back glass, Texas tag, and trailer hitch mast with obscured flag (or something being circled. Tag number run through the lookup ,com with on result (already scrubbed). Statement that it is a Ford F150 Lightning which is their electric truck, I think. For me, putting the official news releases and alternate news releases with info cultivation by common citizens (generally per comment sections) together to try to get a mental handle on an incident in order to factor in with everything else going on currently is, I suppose, a sort of game or exercise for me. I don't gamble or play games so that kinda fulfils that part of my psyche.

 

One can always count on a sizeable amount of information to be restricted by investigating LE, you know, the 'Ongoing Investigation' comments that go with any story. So, many times it's a game for me to look for info that may not be available.

 

'Destruction' here on Ratsun is basically a comment thread and a sort of little family circle.
