He was born to a citizen of the United States. That still makes him a natural born citizen regardless of the nation it happened in. Had both his birth parents been foreigners then he would have been ineligible. in other happenings. Did Obama commit a slew of crimes while in office?..... I love the idea of a well engineered health system, but I think we have massive trust issue when it comes to people elected. Its a valid trust issue too. No matter the program we always seem to have bureaucrats siphoning off the system and lifer politicians making tweaks that enrich themselves from it. This is a world wide issue. My Wife had to pay $500 last year because she didn't have insurance - (she had her job eliminated).What really ticked me off is that I had to pay $500 too, even though I did have insurance. I have to laugh at these kids who get mad because when they start making decent money,they find out that they have to PAY for health insurance. ""What's the deal with this? - I thought it was FREE". The second time around we paid cash. Was WAAAAAAAY Cheaper than just the co-pay. Fuck the premiums. Here's an example. The ultrasound when she was three months or whatever was x amount. (I don't reacall exact numbers.) We had to pay 20% or something for our co-pay portion. And the cost of that 20% was more than double the cost of the cash price. We asked to pay the cash price, but it was against the law for them to charge a patient with insurance without billing through insurance. HOLY FUCK! So year. Insurance companies inflate costs and pay our huge invoices because the more drugs and procedures cost, the more people feel they need insurance. All people see it the cost of the procedure and the price they owe on their insurance invoices. But if they simply didn't have insurance, the prices magically change. It's absurd. We needed a fairly expensive prescription recently and were bummed but also justified it with all of the premiums weve saved which more than made up for it. So what should have been a $600 bottle of pills when we got to the counter to pay she was like, whats your insurance? none. Ohhhhhhhhh, no inurance so I'll need to charge you the cash price. Yes, that's fine. Please ring us up. Hold on and let me see if I can get a coupon. Okay.... My manager applied a coupon. That'll be $65. Great. Thank you. And the next several refills have been very similar. I've never paid sticker price. Never even paid over $100. The shit is completely rigged and I know it from the inside. My wife is a doctor of almost 20 years now. Obama care as it is called is simply a set of laws regulating the industry from easily doing this crap any further. And it was developed based on what was called "Romneycare" to my recollection. I remember that time quite well as it directly impacted our livelihood quite a bit. Obama was pushing hard for universal coverage for all. But Republicans were roadblocking that option so he decided to try the ACA plan. Which had more support, but surely not much. I certainly wish it went the other way. Universal coverage is what needs to happen. Not because I want my government managing my healthcare. But rather because I don't want private insurers managing my healthcare/pricing. I'd honestly love to see them all squashed for their unethical practices.
