If you like Starbucks then there will be more for you elsewhere. Tim's is ok but like McDeez it's the same everywhere in Canada, no surprises. Actually McDeez is quite good when you factor in the price and overall availability. Didn't used to be back in the '70. It was worse than Starbucks.

 

   

Starbucks isn't coffee. I don't like coffee, too bitter, but drank it in the Army because it is warm and caffeinated, would fill my cheek with grounds and suck on them for guard duty. Starbucks is caffeinated milkshakes, I like milkshakes and I like caffeine, it is a win win, but too damn expensive, so it has been a few years since I have had one.

Unless they have a test for actually being high (maybe they do?) there will always be some that will show up on a test. 

I don't understand pot laced or cut with fentanyl. Wait, strike that, I understand lacing pot with another drug to increase the high, but not for free. I think it is government sponsored bullshit, when I was a youth (after reefer madness was debunked) the rumors were "watch out of you will get pot laced with PCP." Here's the rub and it is the same for fentanyl, pots costs money, PCP (or fentanyl) costs money, therefore laced pot is worth more money than unlaced pot. Why would someone give you laced pot for the price of unlaced. It makes no sense. Neither PCP nor fentanyl are "happy go lucky highs" you average pot smoker will be fucked up, not to mention, as they don't know it is laced, they could easily overdose, so a dealer wanting to make an addict is a dumb plan. I am not saying dealers are smart, but I am saying a dealer would know drugs. I call bullshit.

I can tell a true story.  High school days.  Pot dealer acquaintance dusted his herb with coke.  Earned a ton of repeat buyers that would have bought from others.  Didn’t take much and he was known for having the best weed.  Those who knew better knew what was up, but pretty sure he netted gains as a result.

Last time I bought weed was, I can't remember. Must have been in the '80s. I grow my own for the fun of it even just before it was legal and never smoke it.

I was growing 2 plants one time.It gets real humid here in Georgia.Hard to grow anything here.When that humidity  kicks in.It stumps the growth of stuff.So my 2 plants started budding when they were short.But the bud on both were real long.I was getting happy.I came home from work and one was gone.I seen a rabbit in the yard the day before.So I walked around the yard hoping he dropped  it.But he didn't.So I put some fencing around the other one.A friend grows his indoors and you ought to see it.I wish I could but not any more.

I guess I lived in an area with a lot of weed. Those who dealt coke and those I knew buying it, did so in "seals" little packs of paper folded like the paper footballs you made to play the field goal game. I don't know how much coke was in a seal, but it wasn't much and it cost the same as 1/8 approx. 3.5 grams of weed. If you dusted an 1/8 with a seal then you have doubled the price of your product. Why would you then sell it for the same price? I see your point about return customers. I didn't know anyone selling weed who was that serious about it. There was one guy who always included a "just say No" sticker or key chain or something and his marketing campaign was successful. Inquires were often made at parties--is that some just say no?

I am editing this post, because I talked to an old friend of mine and I mentioned my confusion. It confused him as well, 20..30.. okay less than 40 years back, 1/8 oz of weed and 1/4 gram of coke were the same price, the world is likely different today. He was aware of people making bathtub or cold medicine crank/crystal and dusting dirt weed with it, if someone kept it lit they were basically free basing the crank, plus the small bump from the weed and those two could be mixed and sold for a profit as "good weed" to the uninformed.

All the while he's getting another hooked, so it goes on and he pays no taxes." Fentanyl is more addictive than heroin, the hook easier and recovery harder. 

My condolences, that kind of tragedy is hard to reconcile.

However, a president can direct executive agencies (DEA/DOJ) to reclassify marijuana or change enforcement priorities, as seen with 2025/2026 actions shifting it to a Schedule III drug, reducing penalties but not fully legalizing it.
