SPLC paid informants within the klan to steal organization documents. They got many boxes of documents. And it would seem those documents might be rather important if the DOJ is suddenly putting out this indictment to repossess all of those documents. The truth is rather in contrast to your sources spin wouldn’t you agree? Informants get paid for their work, and in this case it looks like the work was fruitful. I’m excited for the fallout. Whatever the image is it does not show up, so it appears you posted like Mike, a worthless waste of time to read post. I think anything I post pisses you and Mike off, I don't really like Trump, but he was the only choice anyone with a brain had, this would not be the USA anymore if who you voted for had won.......... I think pulling the curtains back for everyone to see is the right thing to do, it obviously has shown the Democrat Party as the Vermin they are. Edited April 24 by wayno 1 Quote Link to comment

Canada sold its soul long ago and I hope datzenmike lives happily drunk on the Kool-aid, never forced to realize the cold calculations of a cornered socialist State. If tomorrow, I was magically gifted every weapon and all the ammunition, my property could hold, then I still would lose a fight against the government. It is foolish to even contemplate revolution without basing it on something that impacts substantial numbers. But, that should not be a green light for tyranny. I have dutifully paid property taxes for over 25 years. Property taxes fund K-12 education in Idaho and so I have contributed to funding two generations of children, although I have not fathered a child. And I'm fine with that. My property taxes are primarily used to build infrastructure for incoming residents, infrastructure that benefits me in no way, and I understand. Because of the massive numbers moving to Boise, the infrastructure, the police, firefighters, hospitals, etc. have demanded massive expansion and my property taxes have massively increased. It has become unreasonable. I continue to repeat this and yet, it seems to fall on deaf ears. My property taxes have increased 12x, which means my monthly mortgage payment has increased just under 3x. I get very cranky when told to sell and leave, because I don't want to and I take issue and offense at those who believe the government should have the power to assess what my property is worth, based on what someone else might pay, set a tax on that number and if I am not able to make the tax payments based on that speculative number, that the other person might be able to make, then my property is taken from me and sold to another person. That is why I say "you" do not own land. If the rich decide they want what is yours and move into your area, then your property increases in "assessed" value and you pay more tax. In Idaho, the percentage of the assessed value that is paid also increases with how much your land is desired. So, not only do I pay a higher tax based on a higher assessed value, I pay the highest percentage of tax on that higher value because of the area where I live. Remember, my house has not changed, no additional rooms, same single car garage without power, same bathroom sink which clogs once every couple of months, same sewer line that needs weed killing compound twice a year-you get the picture. The asshole answer, "Then move" Why am I forced to leave because rich want what I have? I have done nothing wrong. This isn't an everybody problem, like inflation, this is a localized "me" problem so nobody seems to give a shit. While you all are sitting happy in hogshit, take a moment and think what would happen if your mortgage payment more than doubled, nearly tripled, or your property tax added a extra digit or two. It is hitting me first, because I don't make much, but turn a blind eye and buy in to the lie, don't be surprised when they come for yours. I will agree you are getting fucked harder than most. Florida has a homestead exemption rule where tax increase is extremely limited if the house is your primary residence. You are getting taxed on unrealized gains and the gains are up to a tax assessor. Same thing in Maine. My taxes there have gone up but a shack in the woods doesn't climb in value like oceanfront. The elderly on oceanfront get taxed out of their houses they owned for decades which is just plain fucked up. 2 Quote Link to comment

(on second thought go ahead and bitch, what else is there?) There’s a few cold beers I could drink with Frankendat on this subject. I personally know a family that had there property tax value go up 500% overnight. Maybe a year from retirement. Their entire plan was fucked. This story is told ad nauseam with countless protagonists. Native Hawaiians are literally being priced out of land they’ve kept since well before statehood. It’s the kind of shit that simply should not happen. I don’t argue that we shouldn’t all pay taxes. But there’s some problems that should never happen. 3 Quote Link to comment

Bet they couldn't sell that property at the 500% market up. Now that housing is crashing in certain markets maybe those people should get a refund. Even California has laws limiting tax on your home. You just pay the capital gains when you sell. 2 Quote Link to comment
Thomas Perkins
My property tax has not went up.It is not much.I also pay for home owners insurance.I used it years ago when a storm.hit.My deductible is 500.But they didn't make me pay a dime. They just took it out of the total cost of damage. They listed cause as wind damage.I did most of the repairs and made some money. But my home is paid for.All I have is living expenses.Doing good. I am not yet an official senior citizen, but close enough to pass for "elderly" and my property is desired, but not "oceanfront" desired and I am getting taxed out of my house. The slope has slipped, from oceanfront to Idaho and it will slip again and again, until those crying that somehow this tax rape is "paying your fair share" find themselves old and in the line of fire. I bitch because it is not right, not fair, not just and plain wrong. Quote Link to comment

My property is worth about 2-1/2 times what I bought it for. Maybe 3 now but assessed at 2–1/2. The equity is good for me. I have leveraged the house to buy land in cash. I hope to again. And taxes are expected. And for me it’s fine. But those who are not able to keep their cash flow it feels wrong. Can they take your primary residence? I know in bankruptcy proceedings they can’t. Well, let's talk about the good old days, because the older I get the better I was. The Army's physical fitness test had levels of achievement the highest level entailed. 80 push-ups in 2 min. 80 sit-ups in 2 min. and 2 mile run under 13 min. My best was 100 push-ups in 2 min. 80 sit-ups in 2 min. and 2 miles in 12 min, which earned an achievement metal. Today, I could do maybe 20 push-ups (my shoulders are shot) maybe 20 sit-ups (lower back not good) and confidently walk 2 miles (no time limit) but, I still shoot expert :) Quote Link to comment

Bankruptcy, along with all other debtor protecting legal provisions do not apply to State debt. As mentioned my property, if sold for assessed value would be over 10x the purchase price after my 1999 refinance, 14x the original purchase price. It feels wrong because it is wrong. This is not a matter where someone took out a mortgage they could not afford or lived beyond their means. This is where others decided the property was worth more money, even though the property had not changed. To improve a property, you must pay for a permit and the work must be inspected and the value of the property with the improvement reassessed--makes sense. When you sell the property you must pay tax on the money made from the sale--makes sense. An annual fee from all citizens to pay for services based on the money spent for property they own and adjusted for inflation--is arguable but overall has merit. An annual fee from all citizens to pay for services based on speculation of how much their property is coveted by others and adjusted for inflation--is voodoo bullshit fuckery and in a just and fair world those promoting such would be shot. But I don’t think they can take your house away to cover the debt either. So my curiosity is with property tax delinquency.(not bk filing) I wonder if they can take your primary residence. Rustbin
Many years back in England, there was a plague, and there were many nouveau rich, because of colonialism, living in London, who were looking for home in the country where they could safely wait it out, like Issac Newton. Most of the poor land owners who had farmed the land for generations didn't want to sell. So they got the idea to get the King to tax the land and force the poor farmers to sell, because they couldn't pay the tax, this was termed Gentrification. This has been used since and has spread to everyplace rich people want to take over. Attaching tax rates to assessed value instead of infrastructure cost has multiplied the effects and is the major proponent of homelessness. The latest hot spot for gentrification in the US today is Idaho. Sorry Frank. 1 Quote Link to comment
