wayno
I just put the 10 gallons of cheap diesel fuel I had as backup in my tank in case I ran out of fuel on the road, I will make it another month before I need fuel again, hopefully it will drop down by then, almost $6.00 a gallon at the station near the freeway. I will take that bet. You shoulda saved your cheap gas and filled up a 55 gallon drum at todays cheap prices. I don't think it will double from here, but its not going down anytime soon. The dollar is getting worthless concurrently remember. Quote Link to comment

frankendat
Let's return to Afroman, there is nothing to hate about him or that verdict. I love Afroman in his America inspired outfit and fur coat. I love he is surrounded at the courthouse with big white bitches and the red head with jacked teeth. I even like the song. You couldn't dream up something this epic. One of these billionaires should buy him a purple convertible Coupe de Ville with exposed chrome headers and side pipes just because America, baby. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I love it then those with power abuse that power and the public trust and then get butt fucked for it... hard, and it goes out there and will never go away. You guys still have states that have laws against pot use? Is that why we don't have a forum on growing your own stone? or any discussion on pot consumption? Did it all end with Dave? Hey, I was never gonna post in this thread but I just want to interject -- Alabama has put gas taxes on us for years and didn't fix the roads, I remember hearing about tax upon tax being announced before they ever did anything. And when they started they only paved the proper highways that were fine as they were. Lately it's getting better, they're paving roads that I didn't even consider too bad, but there are still places where you can bust tires, or one county road in particular I was on once where the pavement buckled high enough to puncture your oil pan. Nothing particularly political about it, just taxpayer money lining pockets and being wasted as it is everywhere. 3 Quote Link to comment
Fat510
Washington has the third highest gas taxes in the country, and our roads are still messed up. It was already 67 cents per gallon for some other bs on top of what they take from car tabs. 1 Quote Link to comment
angliagt
It's not a taxing problem - it's a spending problem. And of course the popular answer to the problem is always "Tax the rich". 2 Quote Link to comment

And of course the popular answer to the problem is always "Tax the rich". It's both. Wealth has become centralized and the system skewed. Spending is ridiculous. If spending isn't addressed/curtailed then no amount of tax will satisfy. (another reason socialism fails) BUT, the government should take steps to decentralize wealth, or not, and it will decentralize itself through revolution. The problem with the latter is the desperation necessary for revolution. Tolerance historically given suffering, is orders of magnitude greater than I wish to endure. Quote Link to comment

Duncan
California roads aren't great either, however we have a wildlife freeway crossing that Gavin has spent 114 million dollars on, and it;s (not surprisingly) very late on completion and way over budget. Tax the rich! Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Two weeks ago gas was $1.45 a liter then jumped to $1.70 because weather is getting better. Today it was $2.02 a liter. That's $6.59 to $9.18 for an Imperial gallon. I still have 2020 co-vid gas in my Datsun. 1 Quote Link to comment
