EDM620 Posted May 14, 2020 Report Share Posted May 14, 2020 Following up on a discussion re: increased volume/pressure for an oil pump on my Z24 build, I have confirmed with Melling the following: M90 pump has a lower volume output, while the M111 & M152 pumps flow the same rate of 2 gallons/min @ 491 RPM. The M152 pump however has a 10psi higher bypass setting. Somewhere on the web I'd read that the M152 had a higher flow of 2.25 gal/min however Melling states that is incorrect. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted May 14, 2020 Report Share Posted May 14, 2020 If you want cheaper there are lots of KA Hardbodys in the wrecking yards. They may be used but being an oil pump they didn't lack for lubrication. I grab them when I find them. Have never paid for one. One time the guy said $25 and I said can I sue you if my engine seizes up because of it? He told me to get going. Have always run the KA pumps on all my L20Bs and my Z24. Quote Link to comment
