Buying 510

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I recently fell in love with Datsun 510 and thinking about buying one in the near future.

I love the 2 door sedan (not the coupe) but since in my country, indonesia, its hard to find a 2 door sedan, im thinking of buying just the 2 door sedan body from either Australia or Japan.

Does anyone know how much it will cost for the parts + shipping and which country more convenient for me to import? Or maybe i should just stick to 4 door? thanks

The 510 with J series engine and leaf spring rear suspension was marketed as the Yue Loong Bluebird in Taiwan. Australia and New Zealand might be the best bet for the L powered IRS 510.

Better get one first. The 'kit' is probably what's needed to change the filter inside. There were at least 3 different automatics used on the 510

Only likely to get one second hand. I’ve got one in one of my 510s.

4drs are WAY more common in Japan/Australia than 2drs, coupes, or wagons.

2 door sedans (as far as I know) don't exist in Australia.  There is a guy near Sacramento that was sending them parts to do 2 door LHD conversions a few years back...
