angliagt
We went for a drive, heading South on Highway 220 to Bassett,VA. The further South we got,the cheaper gas was.I saw it for $1.35.9,& when we headed West from Bassett,I saw one station had $1.229 for regular. I guess I should have filled up,as we ran out of gas about 10 miles from home.I ended up paying $3.499 for 89 octane ethanol free. We were in our MG Midget,so I prefer not to use rthanol gas. wayno
That ethanol gas will rust your metal tank out eventually, that is why all gas stations in the US had to put plastic tanks in. I use ethanol free gas in everything I own except my diesel trucks and the work truck, the work truck gets driven most every day so I don't worry about the gas separating and rusting my tank out because of sitting too much. edekalil
I have to say I've enjoyed the gas prices, it helps on getting the non ethanol for the 510's. As well the DD. Reg ethanol Chevron is about $1.34 Edited May 15, 2020 by edekalil 1 Quote Link to comment
bottomwatcher
Saw on road diesel for 1.98 in Maine. Great to fill the truck, not so good when you make your living in the oil industry. There is a downside to everything! 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Here it's a $1.05 a liter or 4.77 an imperial gallon which is 1.2 US gallons. Wow last time I bought gas for my 710 it was $1.30 ish a liter. Heading down for a fill up of gas and covid. 1 Quote Link to comment
angliagt
When I first started driving,in 1972,gas was 24.9 cents a gallon. I paid $1.399 today,which,with inflation,comes out to about 22.9 cents/gal. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Mine was $0.33 and imperial gallon which is 1.2 US gallons. $5 would fill my new '70 Dart's 15 gallon tank with premium and another $5 bought a 24. Drinkin' dinkin' and dragracin'. 1 Quote Link to comment
