Jaye Rochell
So i recently pulled my fuel tank off of my 1972 Datsun 521 and I noticed that the tank had rust holes on the side. It is about time for a replacement. Looked online and could not find anything. Does anyone know where I can get a fuel tank for my 1972 Datsun. Looking for any options. The cheaper the better! 2 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Try using a tank sealer, use the best money can buy, don't get cheap, follow the directions and make sure you don't plug up the fuel pickup tube. 2 Quote Link to comment
mainer311
I’ve been looking for the past year and haven’t come up with anything. 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
I'd try the want ads here.... I bet there are a few in peoples back yards..... I bet Charlie has one.... Mr bigtanker just upgraded his 521 with a 4 link and aluminum fuel cell.... I doubt his original gas tank will ever go back into his truck... Only other choice is take some measurements and see what you can fit or have it made to fit the location.... Stock would be the cheapest.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Here is a good thing if the pickup tube has issues.... Just cut the old pick up tube out and have a threaded npt bung welded on... trim this to length and install.... There are different sizes and lengths so you need the appropriate one.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I do not have a spare tank but Mr Big Tanker would be a good choice. Teddy (tdaaj) might have spelled that wrong would also be a possibility. Here is teddy's ebay account. https://www.ebay.com/usr/tdaajparts1?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754 I hope this helps. 2 Quote Link to comment
wayno
I have a few tanks but none of them are for the 70-72, the ones I have are for pre-emissions vehicles with no fuel vapor return bung/fitting on the tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
DanielC
I think I have two, pictures later today if interested. However, I am inconveniently located (for you) in Oregon. 2 Quote Link to comment
