More burly looks good to me - but tradeoffs. I tried 225/50R15 but they rubbed horribly. Agreed. I like a more muscle look. Rubberband tires belong on SEMA mall cralwers. Quote Link to comment

six2ohyea
So we’ve established the tire size. What brand of tire do you recommend and the type? Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Depends on the look you're going for. I've always understood that name brand tires are better than cheapies, and the more you spend, generally speaking, the better the tire. Michelin, Goodyear, BFG, Pirelli, Continental, Toyo, etc are all top brands. There are tons of others though. I feel like a classic truck needs a classic tread pattern. None of this weird unidirectional slashes of tread. Also, tight treads with tiny cuts between them make more squeal than tires with wider cuts. So this tire here ...would squeal more than a tire like this. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Tire sidewall should be considered too. Higher load rating = a less comfortable ride. Quote Link to comment
six2ohyea
These look kind of cool. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Those are about as old skool as you can get. They haven't changed that design since the '80s. Quote Link to comment
six2ohyea
Looks like Cokertires .com has a variety of classic tires Quote Link to comment
six2ohyea
Torn between 195/60r15 vs 205/60r15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s. I don’t want too much tire. Quote Link to comment
rosso
I am really happy with the Ohtsu FP7000 and it is very affordable. Non-directional and sort of old school tread. https://www.amazon.com/OHTSU-FP7000-60R15-TIRE-2056015/dp/B00AVPW7ZU 1 Quote Link to comment
