Stinky
I am looking for a turn signal switch for a PS, tilt-wheel column for an '86 720. Anybody know of where I can get one...cheap? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
https://ratsun.net/classifieds/category/9-datsun-parts/ best bet for one from a member, otherwise a wrecking yard. You might find one on e-bay or the like I doubt anyone still makes a 35 year old part, there's no demand. If not working properly (signals or headlight switch) try flushing it with a spray can of contact cleaner. The original contact grease collects dust and hardens. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Well a cheap 35 year old part will most likely be defetive! I have a spare for my 86 that I got out of a junk yard about 3 years ago for $110 plus tax and $2 entryy fee and I had to pull it, which I prefer. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Try spray cleaning first. Some claim the high beans take a minute or more to come on. It's just the old grease. 1 Quote Link to comment

Stinky
Butterfingers....I sent you a PM Autozone has em, but they are a tad-bit on the expensive side....almost 160 bucks. https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/combination-switch?filterByKeyWord=turn+signal+lever&fromString=search&isIgnoreVehicle=false Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Spray contact is cheaper and easier. Don't replace something that's not proven broken. Occam's razor: the simplest answer is more often the correct one. Also known as the Law of Parsimony: a principle according to which an explanation of a thing or event is made with the fewest possible assumptions. K.I.S.S. = keep it simple stupid. At least try that first. Next cheaper is one from a wrecking yard and probably better quality than a knock off. 1 Quote Link to comment
