The genetic markers for this virus was made from RNA viral agents that had already been in study. The Pfizer vaccine was based off a Covid vaccine that had been in development for more than 5 years now.. Dguy could definitely explain this in far better lay terms than I could.

What is it with you and your assumption that hardly anybody wears masks ? You don't even live in the states and don't see what's going on.People are masked up everywhere.Maybe you watch too much CNN ? You isolate your own kids when science tells us they're at such a low risk ? Probably more unhealthy than the virus itself.

My 78yo mom took a trip to see her family & got covid. I resigned to the fact that it was better she got to see her family than never to see them again.

 

So, grandma is dying alone because of lockdown (which may or may not have lifted with more stringent adherence to mask ordinances, etc), and you blame everybody except those making the rules denying you access. Why can't you visit if she's dying regardless? You would rather she lived an extra month & die alone vs visiting with family?

This why we should implement a tax based on life expectancy of goods.   Not a new tax, just modify sales taxes on goods so if you buy the product with the least likely hood of ending up trash you pay no tax. Buy the cheapest crap, pay double the tax.  US made would naturally benefit.

If compare numbers to other countries that have 10% of the population of the U.S, then bullshit. 

 

If you compare to countries that have similar or more population, but is run by a totalitarian gov. That fabricates all information. Then bullshit. 

 

If you compare to countries where half the people are in less than poverty conditions and who's lives dont really matter to the gov. In the first place. Then bullshit. 

 

The numbers from all these sources are bullshit. 

 

Australia did well because it is isolated, has fuck all people and we are spread out.

 

Hawaii did well because it's isolated. And has fuck all people. 

 

The same person raving about how shit America dealt with it is then saying it was already in America in 2019, well before any masks were mandated. Plenty of time to get a good toe hold.

How would you know i wasn't wearing a mask when required ? I was and still do.Do i like it ? hell no.While at home,no.Driving,no.Public places of course,it's required if you want to go in.Been that way for quite some time.The clueless opinion ? Not at all. I know exactly where the fault lies for the Wu Flu. I did and do however point the finger at deficiencies and missed opportunities in handling it and complacency and apathy by the public. The last 6 months could have been more constructive and informative but instead, disjointed and a lack of unity. We all could have been practicing for today instead of playing catch up.

All I really believe now is what I see. Wife and I are in Ashville NC. We are at a gathering with two other family units. All three wives posses master degrees in biology and one is a scientist for the CDC.  Here are the rules at our gathering. Each family rents their own cabin and we do not enter each others cabin. We mask up when together and all the dishes we cook go on the tables we have set up outside. Each family unit fills their plates masked and we sit down at distanced tables before unmasking and eating. Sounds crazy but it actually works fine and we had a good dinner enjoying each others company at low risk. Getting this may be low risk of dying but a high risk of complications or lingering effects and all of us would be devastated if we passed this on to people we cared about, but I guess that is just us. There is another family group at these cabins that number about 20 staying in different cabins but loading up in one of about 600 square feet when it got dark and cool. Their decision and risk and I wish them the best but this is just a microcosm of what is playing out around the world. It doesn't matter who is president now this crap is just going to run its course whoever's in charge. Best to just look after yourselves because your own actions will determine your outcome in this pandemic.
