You have another thought?

Sure as hell didn't go back to business as usual after 911 or 2007 market crash.

Actually things did go back to normal. It didn't happen overnight, but it did happen.

Actually they didn't. If you pay attention to legal issues and laws.

Whole industries were changed and the ability to be held without due process, but that's all a conspiricy 🙄

Maybe anecdotally you didn't experience much, but for usual people who don't pay attention to the letter of the law big changes happen every "Crisis"..

I would say hoomellaand secuuritttty that went amok. Can't say 'it' because everything, every keystroke is mined for intel. Just saying HS triggers Ratsun onto a watch list for further scrutiny. When I tried to get my British passport renewed, guess what? The only way was through washington DC. Can you believe it? Their assholes were so puckered they didn't trust the Brits. So I said fuck that. It was easier to become a Canadian citizen.

'member a 1989 movie called "Deadbang" where Don Johnson chases neo-nazis to OKC where they plan to blow up a federal building?

'member the March 2001 pilot epsiode of the tv show "The Lone Gunmen" where the main characters try to stop rogue feds from flying planes into the WTC?

'member how Sudan offered Bill Clinton bin Laden in 1995 but Bill said he had no legal justification to take him?

'member when you could buy a plane ticket without an ID and fly immediately?

'member how we changed that so the feds could stop the bad guys immediately?

'member how six months after 9/11 the feds granted approval for the hiajcker's visas?

No!!! I was saying that we all got used to these things for the greater good. Add drinking and driving, people uses to just accept it as normal, now it's socially unacceptable. It wasn't easy accepting these changes and it takes a while.

I'm thinking there could be infra red scanners at all sports events, airlines, theaters, schools, bars, malls.... endless possibilities. If you have a fever over a certain amount and trip the alarm you don't go in, you don't fly. Maybe turned in and forced to go home. I don't know maybe something else...

Bad money forces out good.  People see something cheaper like a (forgive me) Chinese alternator for $50 life time guarantee, and they say fuck it, what a deal, but they don't pay for quality so 6 months later it craps and they get a tow home hitch hike in and get the replacement and in 8 months it repeats. That $50 alternator cost you a tow and maybe a day lost work and you had to change it. Meanwhile the good quality $150 alternator doesn't sell and the company stops making them or goes out of business. This is what you get for shopping at WallMart and Cosco for your household goods like patio furniture that is rusted out broken plastic shit in 2-3 years. You know way less than a 100 years ago when you bought something it lasted a lifetime.

I wonder how much of the Walmart stuff shows up in the landfill

               after a short time?

100% if long enough. Every three years a new patio set because at two years old it was just plain embarrassing to look at. How many chairs have I cut up for scrap aluminum?? a dozen??

Yes, 9-11 was a Terrorist Attack, this is a Medical Pandemic

We changed for the sake of security, how are we changing here?

Like 911, things didn't change right away. Gotta survive this first then make changes. If you were infectious you could travel around the world in what? a day and a half?? two days? Stuffed in a tuna can with hundreds of people who get off and fly somewhere else in tuna cans. That's got to change.

Anyone buy gas lately???? Do you really know where that nozzle's has been?

Yes, a pandemic that accidentally got out of a BIO-WEAPON lab in china.

They then covered it up as long as they could, with help from the corrupt World Health Organisation, and also moved thousands of residents out to other countries, not ANY of them to other chinese cities.

And they are still lying about the deaths there, by 100 fold....

No we didn't become any safer now than before 9/11. We just created invasive laws that allowed elected officials and non to intrude on everyone's life.

You are looking at the action or event, but not that its a "Crisis". These crisis create opportunity to push more constrictive laws because everyone's cortisol levels are elevated. More of the voter base that is scared the easier it is to pass "Security" into reality. Shit if you even pay attention to what happened with the relief bill then you could have seen a prime example.

*Government shuts the Economy down (in the name of safety.)

*people start to panic because of finances

*A clean Federal House bill is introduced to help people.

*One party and a portion of the other want to stall the House Bill to add garbage spending along with "security" laws.

*People get stressed and the H-Bill gets put on ice for "Political fighting" 🙄

*Media comes on and starts preaching the world is going to end!!!

*More stress and panic from the people so they will accept anything even the garbage added as long as they get a $1200.00 help check.

*Political fighting ends, but the original clean H-Bill is 400 pages bigger with pork spending on non epidemic related items.

*People are happy and feel a bit better.

*News Media immediately starts pushing the items that were cut from the garbage H-bill as good things. Even new LAWS...

*House of representatives start saying there needs to be a "Bigger Better House Bill."

*This new H-Bill has more "Free" money but in order for us to have it. They need to create new Bureaucracies to manage and investigate, and hard currency needs to be done away with.

There is plenty more in the works too.

art of negotiating with Unions. Union asks for some reasonable items in a contract. The company comes back with their version, and its stripped to the bone of everything. Workers strike. Everyone runs out of money, and they dang near accept even less than the stripped contract just so they can come back to work.

1 step forward to end up 4 steps back.

Maybe we should steer this over toward covid19 updates and experiences? You know.... before it goes more full retard. (not that any of these comments are too retarded or foil hat or anything) Maybe tap the brakes.

The absolute positives to what has happened.

Things I have noticed locally.

*More Families are walking in the neighborhood together to stay active. (Family cohesion.)

*Air quality is amazing.

*Traffic on the roads are like it was when I was 16.

*People are beginning to get involved with local programs.

If the financial risk wasn't a factor for people then this would be an amazing reform.

Noticed way more people out for a walk too.

My air comes in off the Pacific washed by the ocean and combed through the trees from the west side of the ocean. So it was pretty clean anyway.

When I'm on my morning walk I'll stop and it's so quiet without cars, I too think it's Sunday when I was a kid and everything closed. This was into the '60s when everything closed on Sunday because you didn't need to buy shit and people didn't need those jobs to get by.

Porn usage in mid March is up 11.6% according to PornHub, that's like 3 weeks old. This is partly more people with time on their hand and also a human coping mechanism response to Terror. When faced with possible extinction we might procreate to counter it.

Some estimate that there will be massive baby boom in 9 months.

The small town I am in still shuts most stuff down on Sunday. Aside from two small stores and gas stations.

We have a steady amount of regular Ratsun member visits. Very stable at about 30 (ish) a day for as far back as 10/19 but non member visits were under 600 through Dec petering out till month end then in mid Jan when they spiked suddenly to over 600 Jan 14!!! then tapering off to 100-200 through March tapering to about 100 a day in all of April. Winter would explain some of the non members.

Member activity stays constant between 150 and 200 (posts?) a day
