This is what the shift lever is supposed to look like and how long it is.

Yours appears to have been modified, personally I would remove yours and find another shift lever off something local and weld what you want together between the 2 levers, perhaps sleeve over the weld to make it stronger, it will likely be expensive to ship a lever to you.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do, but find locally is almost impossible since these model were very rare, that's why I'm trying to get the measures and see if I can make it from scratch.

I have a shipping address in Miami, so shipping cost would be locally, if you want to sell that let me know how much would it be with shipping to FL 33195

Yes,the shift lever, that's the part or measure I need, the length from the base all the way to the base of the knob

Well my first post is fine. Any length that's comfortable for YOU is perfect. Don't over think this you don't need it to the mm. It could be a meter long and work.

It's not that critical. Any length or thickness that's comfortable to use is fine. You should be able to shift sitting with shoulders back against the seat without leaning forward. You can also put a small bend in it. Thread the end for any knob that is handy.

I know myself, I'm very orthodox about these things and my intention is to restore this car as much as original I can.

Waynos is correct for the 521.  His is almost 14" long mine is 10 3/4" long.  Not sure what the transmission I have came out of.  Might have been a 710 goon.
