It only does it when I am either letting the clutch out to take off or sometimes it will do it the entire time the clutch is pressed in. It seems to it more often when in reverse. datzenmike Posted January 11, 2020 Report Share Posted January 11, 2020 When everything is working as it should, when the clutch pedal is down with the engine running, there should be nothing in the transmission turning. The release bearing will have a huge load on it from compressing the pressure plate. Another source of noise would be the pilot bushing, which is turned by the engine, while the input shaft inside it is not. I'll wait till you sort the video but right now they both should be replaced. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted January 11, 2020 Report Share Posted January 11, 2020 Be sure to change the pilot bushing at the same time. It's most likely the release bearing but the pilot can be noisy also. If these were easy to get at it wouldn't matter but they aren't so do both. Quote Link to comment
