Droski
I recently had a 5 speed trans installed into my 620 and few days ago I started hearing clanking sounds after shifting into gear (in all gears), the clanking noises last about a second or two and go away. Sometimes the sounds are not there. Edited December 21, 2019 by Droski Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You mean up shifting? 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and so on? Probably a loose exhaust pipe, muffler clamp or hanger. Climb under and give the exhaust a good shake. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I would check the rubber piece at the carrier, if it has cracks and holes in it it might be hitting the frame that holds it in position, normally I would describe it as a clunk or knock, but if metal is hitting metal it might sound like a clang because the drive line can sound like a wind chime under the right conditions.
