Either get a new used one or have your broken one repaired. There is probably more than just one place to have it serviced in the US I would think. 

It could also be as simple as a broken solder joint, or one of the wires to the coil thing that drives the needle, those wires are really thin.

Try a meter on the sense wire at the tach while running or off with the ignition on. It should read something through the coil. Probably 6 or 7 volts? This would prove the wire and the tach resister are OK. If no reading then no tach and it may be a simple wire or resister not working.
