datzenmike
Looks like the hot water outlet from the engine to the hearer core inside the truck. The other hose returns the water to the lower rad return hose. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Looks like the adapter I had to use to put an external block tank heater on the R1600 engine of my RL411 back in Montana. Quote Link to comment

Maybe thats why the heater core doesnt work, is missing that external tank Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
There's no external tank on the heater. Mikes talking about a block heater. It gets very cold in Montana. The heater on off linkage may have fallen off the valve and it's just closed closed all the time. It looks like, from here, that the hose clamps are really squishing the hose. They look very soft and may need replacing. You vacuum advance hose is also missing or fell off the distributor. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
The hoses don't look correct at all. Probably replaced at some point with something that kinda fit. The size is probably why they look squished. Quote Link to comment
vic.rott
Thank you for all the info, the truck works well but it has a lot of work to do, i am going to start replacing those hoses and see what happens next. Thanks :) Quote Link to comment
