datzenmike Posted October 25, 2020 Report Share Posted October 25, 2020 It's not much. Wish I could TIG I would rather have used aluminum but hjad to use steel so I could MIG it. When I had exhausted other ways that were beyond my ability it went a lot faster. $10 for some 1/2" steel and $40 for 1 1/2" muffler pipe although you get 8 feet for that and used it all mostly trying ideas that didn't work. There is a procedure for starting unlike traditional carburetors but warm restart is fantastic. Idles very strong and noticeably smooth seamless take offs with the clutch, no hesitation or feathering of the throttle, when floored at any speed in any gear it's very smooth. They are very loud starting at 3K even at part throttle unlike the stock downdraft which are quiet. Quote Link to comment
