mightyohm
I'm looking for a replacement T shaped 2-pin alternator connector. Is there a part number for this connector? Are replacement connector housings available? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You can just crimp on female blade connectors on the wire ends and just push them on. Go to a wrecking yard, the Hitachi alternators of the 60s / 70s and up to mid 80s used them on Toyotas, Nissans. Probably all Japanese alternators. 1 Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
Auto parts stores carry quite a few repair pigtails. I know I have bought one of those at NAPA before. 2 Quote Link to comment
bottomwatcher
Like Mike said crimp on some female spade connectors. If you have to pick up a replacement somewhere no worries on the type of connection not fitting. I have been running the females for years and they fit whatever year alt. 1 Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
To do it right as one forgets which goes where if you just have contack ends on. Napa should have kits for these. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I had my 100 amp alternator wired backwards for 3 years. It didn't have the T connector but a different style two wire. It worked fine so I never even noticed that the charge light didn't come on with the key and go out when running. I only noticed that something was odd when I added a volt gauge. If the battery was topped up it would start but not charge. At some point the battery voltage would drop to 11 or low 12s and the next time I started it, it would sense this and charge until shut off. Without a volt gauge I would never have known. Worked fine but didn't charge every time I started. 2 Quote Link to comment
