Spaceman
This is my new baby I'm going to pick her up this Friday I'm so excited.. Do all 79 have disk brakes and a 5 speed Quote Link to comment
Ben_upde
Disc brakes yes, 5 speed no. I don’t believe that one has it as they typically put a decal on the back just like the King Cab decal. Not saying it can’t have a 5 speed though. Quote Link to comment
sebpv
Theres a spot on the left side of the tailgate that is square. Could it be that said sticker that wore out? Quote Link to comment
Spaceman
I'm not sure if that's a sticker for the 5 speed or not but I will know more when I go pick it up.. They lady I'm buying it from is in California and the truck is in Oklahoma so she really doesn't know much about the truck 1 Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
A paper clip to release the lock cylinder if you are replacing the cylinder only. Quote Link to comment

I could be wrong but I think you need to have the key in the ignition before you can release the cylinder with a paper clip. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
You are correct Mike. The key has to be in and turned to I think it is accessories to be able to remove the cylinder with the paper clip. Take that switch assembly out and order a complete switch from Rock Auto. You want the complete switch for $25.79. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1979,620+pickup,2.0l+l4,1210150,electrical-switch+&+relay,ignition+starter+switch,4700 79 620 complete ignition switch Quote Link to comment
