Lockleaf Posted May 22, 2019 Report Share Posted May 22, 2019 The part i think you are referring is the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) pipe. The egr can be deleted. You need to plug the hole in the exhaust manifold and either plug the valve or remove the valve and make a cover plate to install. This is technically illegal in all states. Only some check for this type thing. Be aware of what is required locally before deleting emissions components. 1 Quote Link to comment

Yes you can most definitely run without it but you must make sure the intake is sealed against air leaks if you remove the valve. The exhaust end can be removed and a pipe plug used the seal any exhaust leak or trim to 2" and pinch closed with vice grips then fold over. 1 Quote Link to comment
