This 1800 SSS is a time capsule, not perfect but this car will be no challenge to restore at all.Its been a long time searching for the right one at the right price and this met both without a shadow of a doubt. I am so happy to finally join the Coupe club And again want to thank Joel for selling it to me. This one will stay all stock, Im not spending any money on this one.lol First thing is get the car, next is clean up and get running. I would love to drive around for a bit as I get all parts needed to restore. And then of course pull apart to just a roller and get it bodywork and painted. Either leaving the 1800 factory engine or swap an FJ20 with mikuni's, considering I have 2 of them.Will see. thisismatt Posted May 15, 2019 Report Share Posted May 15, 2019 You'll have to cut out both rear rocker sections behind the doors, up the dogleg/quarter lip as far as the rust has traveled. The rust between the sandwiched metal there won't sleep. You can't put a bandaid on that. One nice thing about the quarter lip, though, is you can cut the spot welds and just remove the inner portion to make room for the mini-tub 😉 2 Link to comment
